Easter 2012 in Rome

Wishing everyone a happy and holy Easter from the Eternal City.

I had the chance to speak to Radio 2UE host Tim Shaw on Good Friday about Easter in Rome. You can listen to the broadcast here. It perhaps gives you an idea of what it's like spending Easter at in Rome at Domus Australia.

It's been a busy couple of months since Christmas. I've submitted my thesis topic and been busy juggling my study and welcoming guests to Domus Australia. Lent was a wonderful time with the station churches and a quieter time socially.

In the past few months I have had the opportunity to go to Norcia to pray at the Benedictine Monastery and to participate in various sporting events. Umbria is not only the birthplace of such great saints as St Francis, St Clare, St Benedict and St Scholastica but has fantastic trekking (hiking) trails...

In late January early February I went to Australia and had a great time catching up with family and friends.

With some nieces & nephews: Bella, Dom, Zach, Julian, Anna & Tom Mathai
Maribyrnong Boxing Club: with trainers John Kennedy, Jake Jacobson & Dave Nugara

Recently we did a test run of the BBQ on the Domus Australia terrace and it exceeded all expectations...
